Handcrafted Artistic Glassware From Bottles
When beverage bottles are originally manufactured, a tremendous
amount of energy is required to heat and shape the glass into bottles.
These bottles are machine made for one-time use and are never
touched by human hands.
Driftless Glass reclaims wine and beer bottles and handcrafts them
into reusable eye-catching objects of art. Individual bottles are
collected, washed, labels removed, flame worked using gas and
oxygen fires, and annealed to assure strong and durable glassware.
Each year, millions of beverage bottles end up in landfills world-wide.
In creating these handcrafted vases, oil lamps, and drinking glasses,
Driftless Glass hopes to keep some of these bottles out of the landfill.
